Hey Michea, why aren’t you nicer to pro-life people?

People have asked me why I’m not nicer or more patient with so called pro-life people. Why I’m not willing to sit down for the billionth time and explain to them definitions, terms, and procedures that they can easily google for themselves. Why I’m not “polite” with the anti-abortion crowd. Why I am “rude” to people on that side.

So here’s why: I have been an advocate for reproductive rights since before I was 15. I have spent YEARS studying, learning, and working with people who deal with issues regarding reproductive rights. I have had to learn definitions inside and out. I have had to learn pretty much every argument that can be thrown at me and how to refute them. I have had to take abuse from people who claim to be pro-life for YEARS.

Yet I am expected to continue being nice and patient with people who only care about the fetus. I’m expected to be polite with people who can’t be bothered to even learn definitions for words they use when attacking me. I’m expected to sit down and play nice with people who side with those who doxed and stalked me.

If you say you think abortion is “murder”, I will mock you. I won’t hold your hand and walk you through why it’s not. I won’t be gentle with you as I point out that you’re being ignorant. I will be blunt and brutal. I will be to the point and I won’t use the kid gloves on you. If you don’t like that, then tough shit. I have made several videos on the topic. Go watch them if you want to learn. I’m done repeating myself for every new person who comes along.
